Martes Flavigula..Order: Carnivora
Unusual amongst members of the weasel family, the Yellow-Throated marten is largely diurnal, and lives in groups of up to 6. In its native range, it is a major predator, frequently taking animals much larger than itself. Hunting methods include stalking and pursuit.
Distribution: Eastern Siberia, Southeastern China, Indo-China, Korea and Indonesia.
Habitat: Tropical, decidous and coniferous forests, at ground and canopy levels.
Natural Diet: Deer, small mammals, birds, fish, invertebrates, eggs and fruit...Captured at Assiniboine Park Zoo, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
