This old elevator was one of the first built by Paterson Grain Co. on the CPR mainline at the turn of the century. It has stood the test of time and is now abandoned, and not in use at all. It has been replaced by a modern cement Elevator nearby at Rosser, Manitoba. Meadows is in the heart of Manitobas grain belt, about 45 kms Northwest of Winnipeg.
If you are not from the prairie, you cannot know my soul,
You do not know our blizzards, you have not fought our cold.
You can not know my mind, nor ever my heart,
Unless deep within you, there is somehow a part.
A part of these things that I have said that I know,
The wind, the sky and earth, the storms and the snow.
Best say that you have, and then we will be one,
For we will have shared that same blazing sun.
If you are not from the prairie..From a Book by Dave Bouchard.

The way in which you isolated the structure is very compelling, evoking a dominant and beautiful "presence" in this quiet scene. Very nicely done, Larry! L/F FB Pin
